With the publication of a handful of songs that received attention from Clash Magazine, Radio Nova, Earmilk,and Afropunk, the rising Paris-based alternative pop
artist Tennin quickly exploded into the international pop scene in 2015. The Paris-based artist ended a momentum building year by performing at La Cigale in June 2015, as part of a showcase featuring rising female Parisian artists.
The following year, Tennin built upon her growing profile through concerts across France, Germany and the UK. Adding to a relatively young career of big career highlights, the French pop artist’s single “Heal You,” catches the attention of acclaimed, trip-hop pioneer Tricky, who signed the single to his label False Idols. « Heal You » will be released in August 2019 in collaboration with !K7 Records on the « Test of
Time compilation », which featured tracks from Saul Williams, IDLES and others.
Additionally, 2019 saw her becoming a finalist of the Afropunk springboard but she also opened for the likes of Dope Saint Jude and Muthoni Drummer Queen at Les Cuizines.
Early 2020, the rising French pop artist signed her single « Guys In Tears » to renowned Parisian electronic label Kitsune Music .
Following “Take A Ride”, featured on the Afropunk mixtape to celebrate the Black History Month, TENNIN announces a series of singles for 2021. She aims to create out of the beaten tracks, a world for each song, a universe connected to her feelings and stories.
